| Integration | Oracle OPERA Cloud (via OPI Cloud Service) — Oracle Hospitality Payment Cloud Service |
| Version | Cloud |
| Audience | Finance / Back office; technical / integration teams |
What you'll achieve
You'll know the full set of transaction types this integration supports and what each one actually does, which is useful when comparing a transaction you see in OPERA Cloud, the Juno Portal, or a report against what happened at the payment level.
Supported transaction types
| Pre-Authorization | Holds the pre-authorised amount and temporarily reduces the cardholder's available credit. Doesn't charge the card. |
| Top-up Authorization | Adds an additional authorised amount to an existing pre-authorisation hold. |
| Authorization Release | Returns the pre-authorised amount to the cardholder's available credit. |
| Sales Completion | Completes a pre-authorisation by charging the final amount. |
| Sale/Purchase | Charges the cardholder's card directly, without requiring a pre-authorisation first. |
| Refund | Returns a previously authorised amount to a holding state. |
| Void | Reverses the previous transaction. |
| Reversal | Automatically reverses a transaction sent to the bank if the connection between OPERA Cloud and OPI is lost before OPI can complete it. |
| Get Token | Converts a single card's Primary Account Number (PAN) into a secure token. |
| Get Token (Bulk) | Converts many cards' Primary Account Numbers (PAN) into secure tokens in one operation. |
Expected result
You can identify what a given transaction type actually represents at the payment level, and use that when investigating a transaction or comparing figures across systems.
