Overview
When a new workstation or payment terminal is added to a property, or the workstation ID (WS ID) of an existing terminal changes, the IDs must be set up in two places: in your property management system (PMS) and in Juno. This article explains the order of the steps, what to send to your Customer Success Manager (CSM) for a replacement or a new set-up, and when the WS ID can be used.
Applies to
| Product | Juno Hospitality Suite |
| Integration | PMS integrations that use workstation IDs and terminal IDs |
| Audience | Property and PMS administrators |
What you'll achieve
After completing these steps, the new or changed WS ID is registered in both your PMS and Juno, and you have received confirmation from your Customer Success Manager that it can be used.
Before you start
- Decide which situation applies:
- Replacement: only the WS ID changes for a terminal ID that already exists.
- New set-up: a new WS ID and its terminal ID are being added.
- Have the WS ID and the terminal ID ready.
Operational steps
1. Set up the IDs in your PMS
Create the workstation and terminal in your PMS first. For Oracle OPERA, use these articles:

2. Notify your Customer Success Manager
Send an email to your Customer Success Manager to tell them that a new WS ID needs to be created, or that an existing WS ID needs to be replaced.
What you include in the email depends on the situation:
- Replacement: if only the WS ID changes for a terminal ID, send the new WS ID together with the terminal ID it belongs to.
- New set-up: send the WS ID and its terminal ID.
3. Wait for the set-up in Juno
Once your Customer Success Manager has received the information, they register it in Juno.
4. Start using the WS ID
You can use the WS ID once both of the following are true:
- you have received confirmation from your Customer Success Manager, and
- the WS ID is also set up in your PMS.
Expected result
The WS ID is registered in your PMS and in Juno, and your Customer Success Manager has confirmed it. From that point the WS ID can be used.
