Oracle Cloud: Assigning CCTRANS Role to a User

Overview

The CCTRANS role gives an OPERA Cloud user direct access to the hosted Token exchange form used by OPERA Pay. An OPERA Admin user assigns this role through Oracle Identity Management (OIM). Use this procedure when a user needs direct access to the hosted Token exchange form and doesn't already have the CCTRANS role.

What you'll achieve

After completing these steps and once the request is approved, the user will have the CCTRANS role assigned in OPERA Cloud, giving them direct access to the hosted Token exchange form for OPERA Pay.

Before you start

• You need OPERA Admin access to perform this procedure — it's carried out through Oracle Identity Management, not the regular OPERA Cloud user interface.
• Role assignment requests in Oracle Identity Management go through an approval step — the role isn't active for the user until an approver approves the request.

Operational steps

1. Log in to OPERA Cloud using your Admin user name and password.
2. From the side menu, select Identity Management. The Oracle Identity Management screen appears.
3. Click the Manage tab, then select the Users tab.
4. Select the user you want to assign the role to. The Roles tab appears, showing the roles currently assigned to that user.
5. Click Request Role. The Catalog screen appears.
6. Click the search icon next to the Catalog field, enter CCTRANS, and click Search.
7. Select the CCTRANS role from the search results, then click Add Selected to Cart.
8. Click Next, then click Submit to submit the request.

Expected result

The role request is submitted for approval. Once an approver approves it, the CCTRANS role is assigned to the user, and they have direct access to the hosted Token exchange form for OPERA Pay.
